Rosenthal

In 1879 Philip Rosenthal had founded porcelain decorating studio at the Erkersreuth Castle in Germany. At first he was employing only two painters. Soon, due to both entrepreneurial skills of the owner and rapid growth of the country, the company  expanded, and was moved to Selb, Bavaria. There, in 1889 Rosenthal opened its first plant, where the production of table dishes and decorative vessel was initiated. Rosenthal porcelain has ever since been associated with high quality and differential, impeccable decoration. To this day, manufactures in Selb, Kronach, and Munich have been producing exquisite porcelain artefacts, branded by Rosenthal mark.
