Toyohara CHIKANOBU [1838-1912] was a Japanese woodcrafter, author of various topic artworks. he created battle and historical scenes, but especially women's portraits in style called Bijinga, which he was one of the most famous representators. His artworks are style and outfits of 19th century japanese womans documentation. Most of the Toyohara's artworks are triptics. The artist signed his works as Chikanobu Joshu.
