Ernst FUCHS [1930-2015] an Austrian painter and graphic. He studied painting at Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, learned by Albert Paris Gutersloh. He was co-creator of Vienna School of Magic Realism (Wiener Schule des Phantastisches Realismus) established in 1948. His first exhibition was in 1948 at Vienna Art Club in Torino. The artist with other painters established three groups; Art-Club (1946), Hundsgruppe (1951) and Pintonarium (1951) In years 1951-1960 he lived in Paris. He had his own art gallery in Vienna. In 1974 he bought and restored Otto Wagner's house in Vienna, and arranged atelier there. Art of Fuchs is in fantastic realism style it had also expressionism, jugendstil and realism influences. In subjects of his works the most important are religion and german mythology.
