Anton EBERT [1845-1896], though born in Austria, studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. After graduating, he worked in the atelier of Ferdinand Waldmüller in Vienna. Since 1862 he was a member of Künstlerhausin Vienna. Ebert most often painted genre scenes, landscapes, and female portraits. His depiction of women was characterized by idealization of figure, academic fini and most meticulous rendering of details.
