Otto Press was a German landscape painter strongly connected to Berlin, where he studied and worked.
Press painted mostly mountain landscapes in dark tones of green and brown, which can be seen as the echoes of his journeys around Austria, Switzerland, Tyrol and Norway.
The works by Otto Press were presented in Wien in 1885 and in Berlin in the years 1866-1888. They were shown, among others, in the framework of the exhibition organised by the Academy of Fine Arts (1870).
