Hermann MEYERHEIM [1815-1880] came from a family of outstanding artistic talents. His father – Karl Friedrich was a decorator and a portrait painter active in Gdansk, where probably Hermann was born. The artist had three brothers, who also became painters. Meyerheim himself created mostly landscapes with architectural motifs. Since 1864 he exhibited his artwork in Berlin.
