Adolf STADEMANN [1824-1895] came from a family with established artistic tradition. He was born on the 19^th of June 1824 in Munich. His father was a recognized engraver and worked at the Bavarian court. Adolf’s winter landscapes granted him recognition. He studied under Carl August Lebschée and Moritz Lotze at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, where he settled until the end of his life. He died on the 30^th of October 1895.
